Hi Brenda, Totalsports is definitely your best bet in terms of finding that shoe. Get your friend to head down to Canal Walk in Cape Town and visit the Totalsports there.

Hi,
I live in Malawi and love running. I have run 5 marathons and plan on training for 2 Oceans either next year or in 2012. I just moved back from USA a few months back. My major issue here in MW is that we don’t have sports specialty stores so finding the right running gear is impossible. I have to get my stuff from SA. I need a new pair of shoes and have been running in the Nike Zoom. I have very flat feet and would like to continue running in this shoe. I know friends who live in Cape Town who can buy the shoes for me but they are not runners and twice now I have sent them shopping for my running shoes and they come back confused..I don’t get it but anyways, can you tell me which store(s) carry the Nike Zoom Structure Tirax+13 shoe? If you are able, can you also give me a price? There is a friend coming to MW over the weekend and I’d like her to bring the shoes when she come. Truly appreciate any suggestions.

I’ve found Nike+ and all the stats it records as one of the cheapest and best ways to keep motivated, especially for new runners. Welcome aboard and hope to see you in some online challenges! :)

@Jason – I do run with an mp3 player and agree that it is the shizzle. I wonder if adding the stats element etc will detract from the enjoyment of the run… Nah, Nike+ for the win.

@Tristan, Tyler is pretty spot on. The Nike+ shoes I bought cost R999, the Nike+ kit cost R379, and the armband R279, all from Totalsports.

And you also going to need an iPod.

I can say that its definitely worth the cash. Listening to music while running makes a huge difference, and being a stats whore myself, this feeds my addiction perfectly!

@Tyler, we definitely gotta find some more Nike+ bloggers. You know any others?

I love the Nike +… frigging lance armstrong freaks me out at the end some times.
