I feel so sorry for the people that have to deal with their daily life because i was reading the letter last night to get an idea on their daily life for a school assignment and i thought i had it bad.. sometimes it feels like theres some way i know i can help but i dont know what. i just felt so bad for those people and i never thought life could ever get that bad.

Hi, my name is Allison. Me and My friend Alana, are doing a project on Zimbabwe. We have just read this letter, we are trying to inform our class mates and school of what is happening in refugees in countries like this. it sickens me to think these people have to live in conditions like this. i cannot see why it has to be the way it is.

So what is the UN or US going to do about this report? Or is this racism again from the inactive UN – meaning like that if you stay in the gorilla cage you deserve what you get? Do you get it? These people are evidently facing extermination by racists, in much the same way as the jews in Europe in WW2, and we do nothing to determine the truth. The jounalism I have seen in Australia reports the same by secret video and concealed testimony. If this is true, sanction the assassins now! If Sth African journalists can’t confirm it, then you should get the evidence and present it, Jason.

@Jason that would explain it! The most awful thing in this letter for me is this sentence:

“It is incomprehensible that the world will not come to our aid.”

It makes me feel so useless, helpless and ashamed when this is happening to our neighbours and my own government would rather not know.

@Pam – I don’t think its an email, I think it was a letter. I’ll try and find out the authenticity of it, but I do know people in Zimbabwe, and their stories are much the same.
