So you see, creating goals for myself does work! I have already achieved number 3 on my goals for 2008 list!

Increase readership on Jasonbagley.com to over 150 RSS readers.

Well, not quite. :-( I have seen a number of bloggers post about this phenomenon of their Feedburner chicklet showing hundreds, if not thousands of new readers in 1 day. I checked some of my other blogs, and none of them were affected except this one. The reason has to do with Feedblitz. (Only this blog uses Feedblitz for its RSS to email. My other blogs use Feedburner exclusively.)

Anyway, here is a screenshot just so that I can say I achieved one of my goals very early on in 2008. ;-) (Although I’m not going to tick it off my list just yet. hehe!)

Anyway, the wait is over! Ive rebooted this blog, so for any people that read my blog via a feed reader, please pop round and have a look. I’ve redesigned this blog along with hundreds of other designers as part of Spring’s CSS Reboot. Let me know what you think! Also, one other favour – please go and vote for it over at CSS Reboot – link to my reboot here. =)

I’ll give some more detail about the reboot, changes here and so forth, soon. =)

Just some interesting flimda’s that are going on around the globe of late.

1. Everyone knows this already, but Tsotsi won an Oscar for best foreign film on Sunday night. That’s South Africa’s second oscar!

2. For those of you that read like reading the news on the net, why not try out Newsvine. Newsvine is a place where everyone can read, write and influence the news. I have my own column there at blogs.newsvine.com.

3. For all those people that might be interested in signing up at Dreamhost, check out Dreamhost codes.

4. Lonelyfinger.com has come out of the closet, and low and behold, it was 5FM. What was a really mysterious build-up and alot of hype generated, turned out to be a dud. C’mon 5FM, get a life.

5. For those of you interested in stats programs for your websites and blogs, do yourself a favour and check out www.crazyegg.com and www.mapsurface.com

That should keep you all busy for a while. ;-)

For all of you interested, I’ve signed up for the Spring edition of CSS Reboot.

The CSS Reboot is a community event for web professionals. May 1st, 2006 at 6:00 GMT Rebooters from all over the world will launch their web standards-based redesigns simultaneously, bringing traffic, interest and a little respect to their sites. There are no prizes or arbitrary winners, just great exposure and the knowledge that we all participated in something great.

Well no blockquote styling as you can see, and thats just 1 in a long list of things I want to change around here. :-) You can go and visit my reboot page to checkup on where I am with the redesign. I will be posting the progress in the comments over there.

62 days until the 1st of May reboot. No procrastinating over here, pal. ;-)

Things are going to be alittle slow around here for the month of December. With Christmas, cousins from Madeira visiting and everyone except me being on holiday, Ill be pre-occupied elsewhere.

The Internet Series will continue soon, with part 2 – hosting your first website. It might be published within the next 2 weeks or so, depending on how hectic my “after hours” are. :-)

One last thing, This site might be going under the knife some time soon aswell. There are a couple of things that HAVE to change, that I have been putting off, so watch out for that. Anyway, on that note, enjoy your holiday and I’ll see you around.
